AirJIT is built for parcels that can move with a person already flying — just-in-time between airport cities — not for every logistics problem. Use it when the route, item, and timeline match how travelers actually move.
Good fit
- Item fits leftover luggage kg and can be inspected
- Origin and destination are major airport cities (or reachable from them via Host/local hop)
- You have some flexibility on exact flight day, or a Host can buffer
- You want payment held until the recipient confirms
- Shop & Carry: you want a traveler to buy and bring a product that is cheaper or available at origin
Poor fit
- Freight pallets, commercial cargo volumes, or items that cannot enter a passenger aircraft
- Prohibited or undeclared goods
- Same-hour door-to-door with no Host and no one able to reach the airport
- Shipments that must never be opened when the corridor requires inspection
Timing
List before you are in an emergency. Matching depends on who is already traveling. Urgent listings can still work on busy corridors; thin routes need more lead time or a multi-leg path.
Cost mindset
You are compensating unused luggage on a passenger ticket plus any Host work, settled in J1USD. That is a different cost shape than a consolidator’s cargo rate. Compare both when the item is heavy or non-urgent.
