Communicating with shippers

How AirJIT travelers should chat with shippers: confirm meetups, report delays, request inspection, and keep all coordination in the shipment thread.

5 min read · English

Shippers need to know when and where to meet. You need contents to match the listing. The in-app thread is where both things are recorded.

Useful messages

  • Terminal, Host name, or doorstep window — specific, not “I’ll text you”
  • Latest check-in time so the shipper is not late
  • A reminder that you will inspect and photograph
  • Immediate notice if the airline retimes or cancels your flight

Boundaries

  • Do not agree to hide contents or skip photos
  • Do not accept a different item than the listing “since you are going anyway”
  • Do not share passport scans in chat beyond verification already done in-app
  • Do not request extra payment to a personal wallet

Clear instructions

Keep handoff instructions clear and complete so Hosts and support can follow the thread if something goes wrong.
