Updating Flight Schedules​

If you need to update your flight schedules without changing airports or destinations:

  1. Log In: Access your AirJIT account.
  2. Navigate to My Trips: Select the trip with the schedule change.
  3. Edit Flight Schedule: Modify the flight times as needed.

Make sure to update flight schedules promptly to reflect accurate departure and arrival times. Minor schedule changes do not typically require the cancellation of shipments, but it is essential to keep the platform updated.

Managing Flight Delays​

In case of flight delays, follow these steps to manage the changes effectively:

  1. Log In: Access your AirJIT account.
  2. Navigate to My Trips: Select the trip with the delayed flight.
  3. Update Flight Delay: Modify the flight schedule to reflect the delay.

Criteria for Keeping or Cancelling Shipments​

  • Minor Delays: If the delay is less than 24 hours, update the schedule without cancelling shipments. Ensure that there is still at least 24 hours between consecutive trips to avoid cancellations.
  • Major Delays: If the delay is more than 24 hours, the trip needs to be cancelled, and all shipments for the travel will be cancelled. You will need to re-list the travel after making the necessary adjustments.

Communicating Changes to Shippers​

Effective communication is key when managing flight delays and schedule changes:

  1. Inform Shippers Promptly: Notify shippers about any changes to flight schedules as soon as possible.
  2. Provide Updates: Keep shippers informed about the status of their shipments, especially if delays result in changes to delivery times.
  3. Offer Solutions: If shipments are affected by major delays, offer solutions such as re-listing your travel or providing alternative arrangements to maintain good relationships with shippers.
