Changing Destinations and Routes

If you need to change your travel destination or route, you will have to cancel your current travel plan and create a new one. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Log In: Access your AirJIT account.
  2. Navigate to My Travels: Select the travel plan you wish to update.
  3. Cancel Travel: Choose the option to cancel the current travel plan. You have two options:
    • Just Cancel: This will cancel your travel without automatically creating a new listing.
    • Cancel and Re-List: This option will cancel your travel and save your details for re-listing with the new changes.

Changing destinations or routes will result in the cancellation of the entire travel plan and all associated shipments. You will need to re-list your travel after making the changes to accept new shipments.

Modifying Trip Details

To change details specific to a trip within your travel plan, such as altering pick-up or drop-off locations, you can update without cancelling the entire travel:

  1. Log In: Access your AirJIT account.
  2. Navigate to My Trips: Select the trip you wish to update.
  3. Edit Trip Details: Modify the trip details as needed, including locations and schedules.

Minor changes to trip details, such as pick-up and drop-off locations, typically do not require the cancellation of shipments. However, ensure that such changes are communicated promptly to avoid confusion.

Impact on Shipments and Orders

When you make significant changes that require travel cancellation:

  • Shipments Cancellation: All existing shipments attached to the affected travel or trip will be cancelled and returned to the sender.
  • Re-Listing: After cancelling, re-list your travel or trip with the updated details to accept new shipments.
  • Minimize Impact: Try to provide solutions and communicate effectively to minimize disruptions and maintain trust with shippers.

Communicating Changes to Shippers

Effective communication is crucial when making changes to your travel or trip details:

  1. Inform Shippers Promptly: Notify shippers about any changes to your travel or trip details as soon as possible.
  2. Provide Updates: Keep shippers informed about the status of their shipments, especially if changes result in delays or cancellations.
  3. Offer Solutions: If shipments are affected, offer solutions such as re-listing your travel or providing alternative arrangements to maintain good relationships with shippers.
