Flights, trips, and travel

Definitions for AirJIT travelers: a flight is one segment, a trip is the itinerary you list, and travel is your overall activity carrying parcels on those trips.

These words appear throughout the app. Using them the same way as the product avoids booking the wrong hop.

Flight

A single scheduled segment with a flight number, date, origin airport city, and destination airport city. Connections are multiple flights.

Trip

The itinerary you publish: one-way, return, or multi-city. A trip contains one or more flights and the leftover kg you offer.

Travel

Your AirJIT activity as a traveler — all trips, bookings, collects, and J1USD payouts. Managing travel means keeping that whole picture accurate when airlines change plans.

Why Hosts care

A Host holds a parcel between flights, not “somewhere in your travel.” When you message a Host, name the flight and date.
