Setting Luggage Space for Each Trip

When traveling with multiple trips, it's important to set luggage space for each segment of your journey. Each trip can have different luggage space depending on the flights and allowed weights. Even if the available space remains the same across trips, you need to enter it separately for each trip.

Handling Multiple Flights

For trips involving multiple flights, consider the minimum allowed weight among those flights. This ensures you adhere to the strictest weight limitations, avoiding any issues during your journey.

Entering Available Space

To set your luggage space for multiple trips:

  1. List your travel on AirJIT.
  2. Navigate to the luggage section for each trip.
  3. Enter the total allowed weight for each type of baggage.
  4. Subtract your personal item weight to find the available space.
  5. Enter the available space for each trip, even if it remains the same across all trips.

Example:

  • Trip 1: Available space is 18 kg (39 lbs).
  • Trip 2: Available space is 15 kg (33 lbs) due to a stricter weight limit on one of the flights.

Earnings Based on Weight and Distance

Your earnings on AirJIT depend on the weight you carry and the distance traveled on each trip. Additionally, the level of care required for the parcels can affect your earnings.

Factors affecting earnings:

  • Weight: Heavier parcels typically earn more.
  • Distance: Longer trip routes result in higher earnings.
  • Care Level: Extra care for fragile or high-value items can increase your earnings.

Example:

  • Trip 1: Carrying 10 kg (22 lbs) over 500 miles with standard care.
  • Trip 2: Carrying 8 kg (17 lbs) over 300 miles with extra care for fragile items.

Responsibilities

  • Travelers: Ensure accurate weight entry and adherence to airline weight limits.
  • Shippers: Provide accurate parcel weight and care instructions.
