Introduction to Shopping On-Demand​

Shopping On-Demand, also known as Shop and Carry, involves purchasing items on behalf of AirJIT shippers from agreed locations, carrying them in your luggage on your flight, and delivering them to the agreed location. This optional service can be offered during the creation or listing of your travel.

Creating Your Travel Listing​

  1. Open AirJIT: Use the AirJIT app or website.
  2. List Your Travel: Tap on "List a Travel" to start creating your travel listing.
  3. Enter Travel Details: Provide details about your trip, including flight information and accommodation.
  4. Specify Available Space: Enter the total allowed weight for each type of baggage and subtract the weight of your personal items.

Setting Up Shopping On-Demand​

  1. Navigate to Shopping On-Demand: Within the travel listing creation process, find the section for Shopping On-Demand services.
  2. Set Your Shopping Amount: Based on your spare money (ensuring at least $1,000 is available per trip), enter the amount you are willing to spend on shopping on demand. If you do not wish to offer this service, enter zero.
  3. Confirm Your Listing: Complete and confirm your travel listing, ensuring all details are accurate.

Managing Shopping Parcels​

  1. Automatic Booking: After listing your travel, AirJIT will automatically book shop and carry parcels based on shopping addresses near you and within your budget.
  2. Review Requests: You will receive notifications of these bookings. Review the requests to ensure they fit your plans.
  3. Cancel if Necessary: If you do not want to shop or carry the item, cancel the request for free as early as possible.
  4. Purchase Items: If you accept the request, purchase the items using your funds. Keep receipts and confirm the purchase details with the shipper.
  5. Carry and Deliver: Safely carry the purchased items in your luggage and deliver them to the agreed location upon arrival.

Handling Higher Purchase Prices​

If the purchase price is higher than initially agreed upon, request the shipper to update their purchase price. Only proceed with the purchase once the price is adjusted or the shipper agrees with you in messages.

Responsibilities​

  • Travelers: Ensure accurate entry of available space, manage funds, and communicate effectively with shippers.
  • Shippers: Deposit the purchase price to AirJIT, which is escrowed until delivery confirmation.
