Qualifying as an Accommodation Address

An accommodation address can be a home, hotel, or a friend's address where the traveler is staying. Public places are not eligible. The address must be where the traveler will be for at least 24 hours before departure in the starting city and 24 hours after arrival in the destination city.

Required Details for Accommodation Addresses

When adding an accommodation address, ensure you provide:

  • Contact Person: Name of the person at the address (yourself, friend, or family member).
  • Phone Number: Local phone number for the contact person.
  • Address: Include the building number, street name, and any relevant details to ensure accurate location.
  • Location: Specify the exact location to avoid confusion.

To add an accommodation address:

  1. List your travel on AirJIT.
  2. Select the trip and navigate to "Pick & Drop".
  3. Enter the required details: name, phone number, address, and schedule.

Schedule and Timing

To ensure smooth parcel handover at accommodation addresses, adhere to the following timing rules:

  • Accommodation Pick-Up: No later than 8 hours before departure.
  • Accommodation Drop-Off: No earlier than 8 hours after arrival.

These schedules are designed to accommodate the traveler's itinerary while providing a clear window for parcel exchanges.

What Happens If Missed

If a parcel is not collected or delivered within the designated time frame:

  • Missed Pick-Up: Travelers must cancel the parcel pick-up for free before the collection deadline if the shipper does not show up. Communicate any changes promptly to avoid issues.
  • Missed Drop-Off: If the traveler is unable to deliver the parcel on time, they should arrange for a new drop-off time at the accommodation address or communicate with the recipient for alternate arrangements.

  • Travelers: Responsible for collecting and delivering parcels within the specified schedule at accommodation addresses.
  • Shippers: Responsible for ensuring parcels are dispatched to the agreed pick-up location on time.
