Understanding Shop and Carry Parcels

Definition: Shop and Carry parcels are shipments where you may need to:

  • Purchase specific items requested by shippers
  • Pay the sender, the previous traveler, or the shipper themselves
  • Transport them as part of your luggage

Reviewing and Confirming Shop and Carry Shipments

  1. Log In: Access your AirJIT account.
  2. Navigate to My Trips: Select the specific trip to review booked Shop and Carry shipments.
  3. Review Details: Check the details of each Shop and Carry shipment, including:
    • Items to be purchased
    • Any payments required
    • Item specifications
  4. Confirm Automatically: If you agree to carry the shipment, no action is needed as it is automatically confirmed unless cancelled.
  5. Cancel if Needed: If you decide not to carry a Shop and Carry shipment, cancel it as soon as possible, preferably 24 hours before departure.

Managing Purchases and Collections

  1. Receive Purchase or Payment Details: Once a Shop and Carry parcel is booked, you will receive details about:

    • Items to be purchased
    • Payments to be made
  2. Make the Purchase or Payment: Depending on the arrangement, you may need to:

    • Purchase items from a specified store
    • Pay the sender or previous traveler
    • Pay the shipper themselves
  3. Verify Items:

    • Ensure the purchased items or collected parcels match the provided specifications
    • Properly pack and secure the items as part of your luggage

Handling In-Transit and Delivery

  1. Treat as Personal Luggage:

    • Carry the purchased or collected items as part of your personal luggage
    • Ensure items are safely stored during transit
  2. Follow In-Transit Procedures:

    • Adhere to in-transit procedures
    • Keep the items secure
    • Maintain proper documentation
  3. Deliver to Recipient:

    • Upon arrival at your destination
    • Deliver the purchased or collected items to the recipient

Cancelling Shop and Carry Shipments

  1. Navigate to Booked Shipments: Go to the "Booked Shipments" section in your trip details.
  2. Select the Shipment: Tap on the Shop and Carry shipment you wish to cancel.
  3. Cancel Shipment: Choose the option to cancel the shipment. Cancellations are free if done:
    • 24 hours before departure
    • Before collecting or purchasing the items
