Steps for Inspecting Parcels​

  1. Unpack the Parcel: Carefully unpack the parcel to examine its contents.
  2. Inspect Each Item: Check every item for signs of damage or any illegal, prohibited, or restricted items.
  3. Verify Contents Against Listing: Ensure the contents match the description and photos provided in the shipment listing.
  4. Confirm Weight and Dimensions: Weigh the parcel and measure its dimensions to confirm they match the listing details.
  5. Check for Additional Payments: For shop-and-carry parcels, verify the amount you need to pay and ensure it matches the listing.

Documenting and Reporting​

  1. Take Photos: Document the parcel's contents by taking clear photos. Include images of each item and any identifying features or damage.
  2. Upload Photos: Upload these photos to the AirJIT platform to maintain a record of the parcel's condition upon receipt.
  3. Report Issues: If you find any discrepancies, damage, or illegal items, report them immediately through the AirJIT platform using the "Report an Issue" feature.

Educating Yourself on Prohibited and Restricted Items​

  1. Research Airport Regulations: Understand the rules and regulations of the airports you will be traveling through, including lists of prohibited and restricted items.

  7. Confirm Weight and Dimensions: Verify the weight and dimensions match the listing.
  8. Submit: Submit the inspection details on the AirJIT platform.
