How to Communicate with Shipment
Understanding the messaging system for shipments on AirJIT
Overview of Messaging
Messaging on AirJIT is designed to facilitate communication between all parties involved in a shipment. This includes the sender, recipient, traveler, and the shipper who is paying for the shipment. All these parties are included in a single group chat for each shipment.
Accessing Messages
There are two ways to access your messages:
-
Directly from the Messages Tab:
- Log in to your AirJIT account
- Navigate to the "Messages" tab to view all your conversations
-
From the Travel Section:
- Go to the "Travel" section and select the specific trip
- Find "Booked Shipments" and tap on the shipment to view its details
- Switch to the "Messages" segment at the top to send and view messages related to that shipment
Using Messages for Coordination
-
Coordination: Use the messaging system to:
- Coordinate pickup and delivery times and locations
- Clarify shipment details
- Address any concerns or questions with the involved parties
-
Evidence for Claims:

- They serve as evidence in case of any claims or disputes
- Ensures transparency and accountability
Privacy and Security Considerations
-
Personal Information: Do not share your personal information such as phone numbers or addresses in messages. AirJIT already provides the necessary contact details to both you and the shipper.
-
Message Security: Your privacy is important to us. Only parties involved in a booked shipment can message each other, ensuring your conversations are secure and relevant.
-
Messaging Restrictions: You can only message parties involved in your booked shipments. Direct messaging to individuals not related to your shipments is not allowed.
By understanding how and when to use the messaging system on AirJIT, travelers can effectively coordinate with shippers and ensure smooth handling of shipments.
