Collecting Parcels Before Departure on AirJIT

Efficiently managing parcel collection before your trip

Collection Locations and Timing​

There are three primary locations for collecting parcels before departure:

  1. Airport Location: Collection should occur 8 hours or less before departure.
  2. Traveler Accommodation Location: Collection can start at the latest 24 hours before departure and end 8 hours before departure. There is no restriction on early collection.
  3. Doorstep Collection: Collect parcels directly from the shipper's location, often used for shop and carry or shop-on-demand parcels.

Traveler Responsibilities​

  • Timely Collection: It is the responsibility of the shipper, dispatcher, or previous traveler to deliver the parcel on time. However, for doorstep service or shop-and-carry parcels, the traveler must collect from the shipper's specified location.
  • Inspection: Unpack and inspect every item in the parcel to ensure there are no illegal, prohibited, or restricted items.
  • Education: Familiarize yourself with the list of prohibited and restricted items and research the rules of the airports you will be visiting.

Parcel Inspection and Documentation​

  • Inspection Process: Unpack the parcel and inspect each item.
  • Documentation: Take and upload photos of the parcel's contents to AirJIT, documenting their condition and confirming the weight.
  • Payment for Shop and Carry: Pay the amount listed on the parcel listing for shop and carry parcels.
  • Extra Payment Claims: If the sender demands extra payment beyond what was listed or agreed upon, communicate this in the messaging system and claim additional charges for repayment and earning commissions.

How to Collect Parcels​

  1. Log In: Access your AirJIT account.
  2. Navigate to Travel: Go to the "Travel" section.
  3. Select the Trip: Choose the specific travel or trip for which you need to collect parcels.
  4. Find Booked Shipments: Locate the "Booked Shipments" section.
  5. Select a Shipment: Tap on the shipment where the status is shown as "Collect."
  6. Upload Photos: Take and upload photos of the parcel's contents.
  7. Confirm Weight and Space: Confirm the weight and available space.
  8. Enter Payment Amount: Enter the amount you are paying if it's a shop-and-carry parcel.
  9. Submit: Submit the information to confirm collection.

By understanding these steps and responsibilities, travelers can ensure a smooth and efficient parcel collection process before departure on AirJIT.
