Cancellation 24 Hours Before Departure
Cancellation by Traveler
You as a traveler can cancel a shipment up to 24 hours before departure without any penalty for whatever reason you provide.
Cancellation by Shipper
The shipper or any other third party from whom you'll receive the parcel can cancel a shipment up to 24 hours before departure without any penalty for whatever reason they provide, and you won't be compensated for any earnings.
Cancellation Less Than 24 Hours Before Departure
Cancellation by Traveler
You as a traveler can cancel a shipment less than 24 hours before departure, which incurs a penalty of half of your potential earnings from that particular shipment. You can also cancel for free if you have a valid reason from the following list with supporting evidence.
Cancellation by Shipper
The shipper or any other party from whom you receive the parcel can also cancel a shipment less than 24 hours before departure, which incurs a penalty of half of their shipping cost for that particular shipment. You'll get half of the earnings for that particular shipment unless they have a valid reason for cancellation, in which case you won't be compensated.
Reasons and Penalties for Cancellation
Valid Reasons for Free Cancellation Without Compensation (Before Collection)
- Health or Emergency Reasons: Personal health issues or emergencies.
- Natural Disasters or Force Majeure: Unforeseen events like natural disasters.
- Travel Disruptions: Significant disruptions affecting travel plans.
Valid Reasons for Free Cancellation With Compensation (Before Collection)
- Subject to Evidence: Valid reasons for free cancellation with compensation are applicable only if:
- The cancellation is later than 24 hours before departure
- The reason is any party other than you failing to fulfill their responsibilities
- There is a violation of any AirJIT policies
Initiating Cancellation
To cancel a shipment:
- Navigate to Booked Shipments: Go to the "Booked Shipments" section in your trip details.
- Select the Shipment: Tap on the shipment you wish to cancel.
- Cancellation Button: At the very bottom of the parcel details, tap the "Cancel" button to initiate the cancellation process.
By understanding these policies, penalties, and valid reasons for cancellation, travelers can ensure a smooth and fair process when cancelling shipments before collection.
