Importance of Airport Cities in AirJIT Shipping

The AirJIT platform connects shippers with travelers based on their travel routes, which typically involve flights between major airport cities. Selecting the correct airport cities for both the sender and recipient is crucial to ensure that your parcel is efficiently matched with a traveler who can deliver it on time.

How to Select the Right Airport Cities

When creating a shipment, the first step is to choose the nearest airport cities for both the sender and the recipient. This selection determines the potential travel routes your parcel will take. Here's how to do it:

  1. From the Home or Explore Tab: Start by selecting "Create a Parcel" or tap the "+" button in the Parcels tab.
  2. Enter the Sender's Airport City: Type the name of the city closest to where the parcel will be sent from. The system will suggest the nearest airports; choose the one that is most convenient.
  3. Enter the Recipient's Airport City: Similarly, enter the city closest to where the parcel will be received. Select the most convenient airport from the suggestions.
  4. Review the Route: Ensure that the chosen cities are correct, as this will determine the flight paths and potential travelers who can carry your parcel.

What to Do if Your City Doesn't Have an Airport

AirJIT currently serves cities with major airports. If your city or the recipient's city does not have an airport:

  • Choose the Nearest Airport City: Select the nearest major city with an airport as the pick-up or drop-off location.
  • Dispatch via Third-Party Courier or Local Delivery: After listing your parcel with the nearest airport cities, you can later add the exact address of the sender or recipient. You can then arrange for the parcel to be dispatched to the traveler's location through a third-party courier or local delivery service.
  • Plan for Local Transport: Coordinate with the local courier or delivery service to ensure that the parcel reaches the traveler on time for their departure or is delivered promptly to the recipient after arrival.
