Overview of Messaging​

Messaging on AirJIT is designed to streamline communication between all parties involved in a shipment, including the shipper, sender, recipient, and travelers. This group messaging ensures that everyone is kept informed and can coordinate effectively.

Accessing Messages​

There are two main ways for shippers to access messages related to their shipments:

  1. From the Messages Tab: ◦ Log in to your AirJIT account. ◦ Navigate to the "Messages" tab to see all ongoing conversations.

  2. From the Parcels Section: ◦ Go to the "Parcels" tab and select the specific shipment. ◦ Switch to the "Messages" segment at the top of the shipment details page to view and send messages related to that particular shipment.

Using Messages for Coordination​

• Coordination: Use the messaging system to coordinate dispatch and collection times, confirm addresses, clarify shipment details, and address any concerns. Effective communication ensures that the shipment process runs smoothly.

• Evidence for Claims: All messages are stored and cannot be deleted, serving as evidence in case of any claims or disputes. This helps maintain transparency and accountability throughout the shipping process.

Privacy and Security Considerations​

• Personal Information: Avoid sharing personal information such as phone numbers or addresses within the messages. AirJIT automatically provides the necessary contact information to the involved parties.

• Message Security: Your privacy is protected. Only those directly involved in a shipment (shipper, sender, recipient, and travelers) can communicate with each other. This ensures that conversations are secure and relevant to the shipment at hand.
