Cancellation of Shipments Before Dispatch

Cancellation 24 Hours Before Traveler's Departure

As a shipper, you can cancel your shipment up to 24 hours before the traveler's departure without incurring any penalties. Once you confirm the cancellation:

  • The funds from your AirJIT wallet will be fully refunded
  • The traveler will be notified automatically
  • Your parcel can be re-listed for another traveler if needed

Cancellation Less Than 24 Hours Before Departure

For cancellations within 24 hours of departure:

  • A 50% penalty of the shipping cost will be applied
  • The penalty is deducted from your escrowed wallet amount
  • The traveler receives half of their expected earnings as compensation
  • Valid reasons may qualify for full refund

Valid Reasons for Free Cancellation

  1. Health or Emergency Situations

    • Personal health emergencies
    • Serious family issues
    • Other documented emergencies
  2. Natural Disasters or Unforeseen Events

    • Weather-related disruptions
    • Natural disasters
    • Civil unrest or security concerns
  3. Significant Travel Disruptions

    • Flight cancellations
    • Major schedule changes
    • Airport closures

Returning Shipments After Dispatch

Before Traveler's Departure

If you need to return a shipment before the traveler departs:

  • Request a return through the AirJIT platform
  • Provide a valid reason for the return request
  • Coordinate with the traveler for the return handoff

After Traveler's Arrival

For returns after the traveler reaches the destination:

  • Higher costs may apply
  • Full return shipping costs must be covered
  • Traveler compensation may be required

Impact on Your Shipping Price

Cancellation timing affects refund amounts:

  • More than 24 hours before departure: Full refund
  • Less than 24 hours before departure: 50% refund
  • After dispatch: May forfeit entire shipping cost

How to Cancel Your Shipment

  1. Navigate to the Parcels Tab
  2. Select the shipment to cancel
  3. Click the "Cancel" button
  4. Review any penalties
  5. Confirm the cancellation
