What Are Push Notifications?

Push notifications are alerts that appear on your mobile device or desktop, even when you're not actively using the AirJIT app or website. These notifications are designed to quickly inform you about important updates, such as travel changes, parcel statuses, and security alerts, ensuring you never miss critical information.

How Push Notifications Work on AirJIT

Push notifications are sent directly from AirJIT's servers to your device. They appear as banners, alerts, or sounds, depending on your device's settings, and can be received whether or not the AirJIT app or website is open. Push notifications are typically used for time-sensitive information that requires immediate attention.

When You'll Receive Push Notifications

  1. Travel Updates:

    • Notifications about your travel plans, such as booking confirmations, departure reminders, or changes to your itinerary.
  2. Parcel Statuses:

    • Updates on your parcels, including dispatch, in-transit alerts, and delivery confirmations.
  3. Security Alerts:

    • Critical alerts related to the security of your account, such as new device logins or password changes.
  4. Promotional Offers:

    • Occasional push notifications about special offers, discounts, or important announcements from AirJIT.

Managing Push Notifications

  1. Enable/Disable Push Notifications:

    • Go to the "Notification Preferences" section in your AirJIT account settings. Here, you can enable or disable push notifications based on your preferences.
  2. Customize Notification Preferences:

    • Choose which types of push notifications you want to receive. For example, you might want to enable push notifications for security alerts but disable them for promotional offers.
  3. Adjust Device Settings:

    • On your mobile device, you can also manage how push notifications appear (e.g., as banners, sounds, or badges). This can be done through your device's notification settings.
  4. Check Notification History:

    • If you miss a push notification, you can often find it in your device's notification history or by opening the AirJIT app, where recent notifications are usually logged.
