Overview
The AirJIT Wallet displays different balances to help you track your funds. Understanding these balances ensures better fund management and helps you know what portion of your funds is available for use.
Your wallet maintains your JIT balance and shows its equivalent value in fiat (USD or other currencies). This value fluctuates as the JIT price changes on exchanges, meaning your total balance may increase or decrease over time based on market conditions.
Your wallet shows three types of balances:
- Total Balance – The total value of your holdings.
- Available Balance – Funds you can use immediately.
- Locked Balance – Funds held in escrow, staking, or vesting.
Total Balance
- The Total Balance represents the entire value of your holdings, including both available and locked funds.
- Since the JIT price fluctuates, the total value in fiat may change over time.
- This balance updates whenever you deposit, withdraw, stake, or receive funds.
Available Balance
- The Available Balance represents funds that can be used for transactions, deposits, withdrawals, or payments.
- Funds move from Locked Balance to Available Balance when escrow conditions are met, staking periods end, or vesting unlocks.
Locked Balance
- Funds held in escrow: Payments for shipments remain locked until delivery confirmation.
- Staked funds: JIT tokens staked for rewards remain locked until unstaked.
- Presale tokens: If you purchased JIT tokens during the presale, your tokens might be locked under a vesting schedule.
How Balances Change
- Deposits increase your Total and Available Balance (except for presale tokens which may be locked).
- Withdrawals reduce your Available and Total Balance.
- Staking moves funds from Available Balance to Locked Balance.
- Unstaking moves funds from Locked Balance back to Available Balance.
- Escrow releases shift funds from Locked to Available Balance after a shipment is successfully completed.
- Market fluctuations impact Total Balance as JIT's price changes over time.
JIT Price Fluctuations & Market Risk
- The value of your Total Balance in fiat is not fixed and will change as JIT's price moves up or down in the market.
- If JIT's price increases, your holdings will be worth more in fiat value.
- If JIT's price decreases, the fiat value of your holdings will drop.
- Users should be aware of market risks when holding JIT in their wallet, as crypto assets are subject to price volatility.
- If you prefer to reduce exposure to price changes, consider converting JIT to stablecoins (USDT, USDC) before withdrawing.
Important Notes
- Locked funds cannot be used for transactions until released.
- Staking rewards are added to Available Balance unless re-staked.
- Escrow funds are automatically unlocked once the shipment is completed.
- Presale tokens unlock gradually based on the vesting schedule.
- JIT value in fiat fluctuates based on exchange prices, so your wallet's total value may change even if your JIT balance remains the same.
Understanding these balances ensures smooth fund management within the AirJIT Wallet while being mindful of market fluctuations.
