Why Emergency Contacts Are Important
Emergency contacts are crucial for your safety and security while using AirJIT. In case of an emergency during your travel, trip, or when handling a parcel transfer, these contacts provide an additional layer of communication. They will only be contacted if AirJIT cannot reach you directly or if an urgent situation arises.
Steps to Add or Update Emergency Contacts
- Access Your Account Tab: Go to the account tab and scroll down to the "Personal Information" section.
- Add a New Emergency Contact: Select the option to add a new emergency contact. You'll be prompted to fill in the following details:
- Contact Name: The full name of your emergency contact.
- Relationship: Specify your relationship with the contact (e.g., Mom, Dad, Bro, Sis, Friend, Partner, Team, etc.).
- Phone Number: Provide a valid phone number where they can be reached.
- Email Address: Optionally, you can add their email address for additional communication.
- Save the Contact: Once you've filled in the details, save the information to update your profile.
- Updating or Removing Contacts: You can add as many emergency contacts as you wish. To update or remove a contact, simply select the contact from your list, make the necessary changes, and save.
Best Practices for Managing Emergency Contacts
- Keep Contacts Relevant: Ensure that your emergency contacts are people who are aware of your travel plans or shipment activities. This can include close friends, family members, or partners who can act quickly if contacted.
- Update Regularly: Make sure to update your emergency contacts before any trip or shipment activity, especially if your plans involve potential risks.
- Provide At Least One Contact: While adding an emergency contact is optional, AirJIT highly recommends providing at least one, especially if you travel frequently or engage in high-volume parcel transfers.
